Clara is an architect and designer with a special interest in reuse and sustainable approaches. In her work, Clara explores technical and artistic methods to create new solutions for architectural, interior and furniture needs.

Specifically in her architectural work she explores solutions for adapting existing buildings to evolving societal needs. She specialized in adaptive reuse by obtaining a Master of Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she went with a Fulbright scholarship. There she was awarded with the Design Excellence Award 2015 by the Danish institute of Studies (DIS) for her adaptive reuse project in the Pumpehuset of Copenhagen.

Clara presented some of her work at the prestigious INDABA design conference at Cape Town, South Africa, 2016.

During the previous five years Clara worked at various architecture studios in The Netherlands, notably Cruz y Ortiz, HofmanDujardin Architects and Concrete. Projects she contributed to include, amongst others, the renovation of the Rijksmuseum and two Dutch ministerial offices, as well as the design of the ING headquarters, and the W hotel in Mumbai.

Clara also holds a Master of Science in architecture from the University of Seville, where she was awarded with a scholarship to complete one semester at the Eindhoven University of Technology (NL).
